    Limestone is widely used, and its product market prospects are promising. It integrates the development status of deep processing of limestone products at home and abroad and introduces several main uses of limestone mines.


    Physical processing

    1. The most common is the production of Portland cement. Generally, limestone is crushed and can meet the requirements of cement raw materials after grinding.
    2. Production of coated grade heavy calcium carbonate products for high-grade papermaking. Such high value-added fine, ultrafine and active heavy calcium carbonate is widely used in the papermaking process. After pulverization, the general particle size is 2m≥90% for the neutral sizing papermaking process; the -2μm particle size ≥50 % of the filler used primarily for coated paper.
    3. Used as a filler in the production process of plastics, paints, etc. Natural calcium carbonate minerals used as raw materials for such products, ie limestone, require CaC03 (dry basis): 9810% for superior grades, 9610% for first grade, 9410% for second grade, Fe203<011%, Mn ≤ 0102%, Cu ≤01001%, whiteness above 90. In addition, fine ore with a general average particle size of 10-15μm is used as a coating filler, -10μm is used as a filler for plastics, rubber and paper, and after -5μm is activated for ink filling. material.
    4. Casting sand for production machinery manufacturing. The grit produced by limestone has a particle size of 28-75 mesh. This type of sand has better performance than quartz sand. It has good collapsibility, is easy to fall sand, improves the surface quality of castings, adds surface finish of castings, and basically eliminates the harm of workers' silicosis. . According to statistics, only major steel companies have to purchase tens of thousands of tons of foundry sand every year, which is a potential market for the limestone mine in the metallurgical industry.
    5. Production of a desulfurization absorbent. The limestone is crushed to 0~2m, wherein +2mm<5%, 0~0.45m>50% powder replaces the raw lime or slaked lime, and is mixed with water in the absorption tower to form a slurry, and the absorption slurry is mixed with the smoke, and the smoke is mixed. The sulfur dioxide in the gas is chemically reacted with the calcium carbonate in the slurry and the blasted air, and the final reaction product is gypsum. The flue gas after desulfurization is heated and heated to be discharged into the chimney. The process equipment is mature, the desulfurization efficiency is high, and the application range is wide.
    6. Limestone can be calcined and carbonized to produce light calcium carbonate products. Light calcium carbonate can be divided into five particle size grades according to the average particle size: fine particles + 5 μm, fine powder 1-5 μm, fine 011-1 μm, ultrafine 0102~011 μm, ultrafine - 0102 μm. According to the product crystal form, it can be divided into spherical shape, spindle shape, cubic shape, chain lock shape, sheet shape and diamond shape. Cuboidal, spherical lightweight calcium carbonate is more suitable for the plastics industry.
